as Gameplay Engineer

  • Led a team of engineers, designers, animators and technical artists, designed and implemented a full-body VR avatar animation system, featuring foot-ground alignment, animation transition and split-body masking.

  • Maintained and improved player’s locomotion functionalities such as sliding and teleporting, prototyped new locomotion mechanics for both controller-based and hand-tracking control schemes.

  • Maintained and improved player-centered gameplay systems such as camera, physics and comfort assistance.

  • Identified CPU and GPU bottlenecks, improved runtime performance.

Oculus VR OS

as UI Engineer

  • Implemented UI layouts, details and animations on system surfaces such as task bar, app store and settings.

  • Worked on spatial layout and movements for UI panels in 3D space, worked on scene lighting.

  • Built automation wireframes and pipelines, enabled automated UI tests carried by lab devices.
